Two men, who were arrested in connection with the murder of a member of the South African Communist Party (SACP), has each been sentenced to life in prison in the Sasolburg High Court. Police spokesperson, Thandi Mbambo says Michael Mthethwa (29) and Lefu Motloung (41) were found guilty of robbery and murder. Mbuyiseni Mnguni, was reported missing on 23 October 2014 in Zamdela and his body was recovered in a river in Orangeville a week later. Mbambo says the cause of his death was found to be drowning. She adds that Mnguni’s brand new VW Polo, which was stolen was later found by chance as it was fraudulently cloned. - Mark Steenbok
