
NC pledges to complete Mental Hospital by end 2017

Kimberley - The Northern Cape Health Department, has pledged to have the Kimberley Mental Health Hospital, complete by the end of 2017. Spokesperson Lebohang Majaha says the incomplete hospital, which has cost taxpayers close to R 2 billion, will only become operational after the December 2017 completion date. Construction on the hospital began in 2006, and to date, is still not complete. A delegation of members from the National Council of Provinces visited the province over a month ago, and gave the department a stern warning, regarding the incomplete mental health hospital. - Olebogeng Motse
