DA: Release FS Vrede Dairy report

Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane, should release an investigative report on the controversial Free State Vrede Dairy Farm project. This is according to DA leader Mmusi Maimane. He says the report should have been released in April already. Maimane says the project is a clear example of how the government loots state money for personal use. Maimane says the province is rich in Agriculture and should be investing in that instead of looting tax payers money. Maimane further criticized the provincial government for the province's high unemployment rate while millions are being spend on alleged government service delivery flagship programmes to hide corruption and their criminal activities.

Maimane says Premier Ace Magashule and Minister Mosebenzi Zwane amongst others must be held accountable for the millions that have allegedly looted from the Vrede Dairy. The leaked #GuptaEmails indicated that money earmarked for the project was used to fund the family’s Sun City wedding. - Katleho Morapela
