Manhunt after FS cash-in-transit heist

Sasolburg - The Hawks in the Free State have launched a manhunt after a cash-in-transit heist along the R57 south near Sasolburg. Hawks spokesperson, Sifiso Nyakane, says an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen yesterday when the money vehicle was forced off the road by three private motor vehicles. Nyakane says the suspects shot the vehicle’s tire and it overturned. He says two occupants of the money vehicle sustained several injuries from the accident and were air lifted to a nearby hospital. He adds that the suspected used explosives to gain access to the safe and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
