2018 Joburg Open - Dean Burmester and Keenan Davidse

Dean Burmester got his 2018 Joburg Open off to a near perfect start with a round of six under 66 at the Bushwillow Course at the Randpark Golf Club.

The Bloemfontein golfer’s flawless round was good enough for an early share of third, two strokes behind the 28-year-old Capetonian, Keenan Davidse.

Davidse sunk 9 birdies and recorded a bogey to hold the early clubhouse lead at 8 under par before the afternoon session.

The winner of the Joburg Open gains entry into the 2018 Open Championship at Carnoustie. The only player in the near 250-strong field with exemption for the Open is last weeks’ Mauritius Open winner, Dylan Frittelli.
