The Bloemfontein Golf Club Manager, Trevor Kitching, says the seven men who broke into the Golf Club early this morning entered the premises where the camera’s did not pick up. Kitching says a security guard was shot in the legs and hit on the head, while another employee who resides on the premises was also attacked with a stick when they broke the door down to get into his room. He is currently in a stable condition but was also taken to hospital for further medical treatment. Kitching says the suspects were most likely under the false impression that the employees had the keys to the golf shop and to the bar. Kitching says nothing was stolen, but they will be upping their security and will be employing armed response.
