The DA in the North West has now called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to give premier Supra Mahumapelo the boot ahead of his no motion of confidence, tomorrow. DA provincial Legislature Leader, Joe McGluwa, has this afternoon written a letter to Ramaphosa asking him to look into Mahumapelo’s ability to hold office amidst lack of service delivery. McGluwa says the province leaps from crisis to crisis under Mahumapelo’s administration. He told OFM News they will be supporting the motion of no confidence tabled by the EFF following several corruption allegations. Mahumapelo is currently embroiled in a number of corruption allegations, with the latest being allegations that he got a state owned company, Denel, to pay out over R1 million bursary to his son.

Meanwhile, EFF is heading to court to apply for an urgent interdict to force the speaker of the Legislature, Susana Dantjie to hold a secret ballot in the vote of no confidence against Mahumapelo.
