The Tafel Lager Griquas are excited about the new rolling subs law which will come into play during the Super Sport Rugby Challenge which kicks off tomorrow.

The new law will allow each team a maximum of 12 substitutions per game, and will among other thing eliminate uncontested scrums.

This is also expected to speed up the game and make the matches more tactical from the coaches’ perspective.

The Griquas coach, Peter Engeldow, who has first had experience with rolling subs from his tenure in England told OFM Sport that the concept it exciting.

The Griquas kick-off their campaign against the Sharks XV tomorrow afternoon in Kimberley, while the Leopards host the Griffons in Schweizer-Renke.
