The quarter-finalists of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia has been decided and from Friday afternoon we can expect nothing less than mouth-watering football.
Last night Sweden and England became the last two teams to book their spot in the last eight of the global showpiece.
Sweden beat the much more fancied Switzerland 1-0, while Colombia nearly sent the English packing.
A 93rd minute Yerry Mina goal cancelled out Harry Kane’s penalty to send the match into extra time and a shootout.
Colombia had never been involved in a shootout at the finals, while the English had lost all their three previous matches decided 12 yards out.
It was also the first time in 12 years that the Three Lions managed to win a knockout match at any major international tournament.
The English coach, Gareth Southgate, feels that his team deserved to win the game and advance to the quarters.
