IEC hopes #Election2019’s special votes will unfold smoothly

The IEC says it is ready to tackle more than 775 000 South Africans, as they will cast special votes today and tomorrow, while the remaining registered voters will take to the polls on Wednesday during the general elections. In an interview earlier this morning with eNCA, the IEC's Mashego Sheburi said that over the course of these two days, the IEC has planned over 40 000 home visits owing to disability or illnesses that make it difficult for voters to go to their nearest voting stations. These home visits will make up the bulk of special votes.
