Sasha-Lee Olivier, 26, who was her first princess and represented SA at Miss World, took over from Tunzi as Miss SA this week, and told the Sunday Times it felt like a role she had been preparing for all her life.

"Sometimes it's a case of destiny delayed and not destiny denied," she said. "I think I've come out of this process a lot stronger, and through Miss World I'm definitely in a position where I am ready to step into the role as Miss SA."
