This week we have a repeat broadcast which I hope you’re going to enjoy, especially in this Beethoven year. It is the interview I recorded in the Philharmonie in Berlin when I was there for the cycle of 9 Beethoven symphonies with the Berlin Philharmonic conducted by Sir Simon Rattle. I was lucky enough to spend some time with the principal flute of the Berlin Philharmonic, Emmanuel Pahud and we had a relaxed chat about the Beethoven symphonies, the newly appointed conductor of the BPO and a host of other related matters.
