The Southern African Alcohol Policy Alliance has urged the presidency to expedite the Liquor Amendment Bill of 2017 that has been stalled despite extensive consultation. Maurice Smithers, Director at SAAPA (Southern African Alcohol Policy Alliance) of SA, said they wanted the government to do more to reduce alcohol-related harm in South Africa.
