“…die Gees van die Here het my weggeneem na ‘n vallei vol… ou, droë, bene…” Esegiël 37:1-2 NLV
Is God besig om jou te skud?
God het vir Esegiël gesê om sy Woord aan ‘n vallei vol bene te profeteer, wat toe ‘n magtige leër geword het. Hierdie bene was oud, droog en het die hele valleivloer vol gelê. Dit mag dalk beskryf waar jy vandag is. Jou hoop is dood, jou siel is droog, jou lewe is in wanorde. Wat is die antwoord? 1) Jy het nodig dat God dinge in jou lewe skud. ‘…Skielik was daar ‘n gedreun… Die bene van elke liggaam het bymekaargekom’ (vers 7 NLV). Wanneer dit voel of dinge in jou persoonlike lewe, jou huislewe en jou werkslewe geskud word, moet jy bly wees; dit beteken dat God groot planne vir jou het. 2) Jy het nodig dat God deur sy Woord met jou praat. ‘…Droë bene, luister na die woord van die Here!’ (vers 4 NLV). God se Woord het ‘n klomp bene in ‘n leërmag wat kon verower, oorwin en sy doelwitte vervul, verander. God se Woord kan dieselfde vir jou doen. 3) Jy het nodig dat God sy Heilige Gees in jou blaas. ‘…Blaas in hierdie dooie liggame sodat hulle lewend kan word!’… Hulle het lewend geword en op hulle voete gaan staan, ‘n groot klomp mense’ (Esegiël 37:9-10 NLV). Wanneer jy deur sy Gees bemagtig word, sal jy jou eie verwagtinge oorskry en groot dinge vir God doen. Esegiël kon nie die potensiaal in daardie bene sien nie, totdat God dit vir hom gewys het. Maak dus nie saak wat ander mense sê nie, God sien potensiaal in jou en dis hoekom Hy besig is om jou te skud.
