Ms. Zakiya Khatib is a proud alumna of Durban Girls Secondary School, Class of 1996, and an active member of the Steering Committee behind the successful 2024 reunion. A mother of three, she is the Advertising & Marketing Director of a national Islamic publication, CEO of a successful brownie business known as the Brownie Queen, and heads the Afternoon Islamic Studies Department at Crawford International School, La Lucia. Deeply involved in her community, Zakiya is passionate about giving back to her alma mater and empowering the younger generation to become ambassadors and trailblazers of its rich heritage.
