#Afasa 'Justified anger' of farmers at Senekal gathering could have been prevented

He says if there was more control, it could have been prevented that farmers' "justified anger" led to violence and damage done to state property. Nakana says these actions now undermine agriculture's real struggle against the government to protect agricultural communities.

Afasa however condemns the continues attacks on farmers, and live stock theft, which is a huge ongoing concern for farmers. He is convinced farming communities are not dealing with individuals in this regard, but rather with syndicates, who have connections in high places.

Masokea is therefore making a serious plea to the government to invest more in the police so that service delivery can improve.
