Pinktober: "My faith was essential during this time"

When a person first finds out they have breast cancer, they can feel overwhelmed and alone. While they are under this stress, they also have to learn about complex medical treatments and choose what is right for them. Talking to a trained Reach for Recovery volunteer during this time can provide some comfort, as well as an opportunity for emotional grounding and informed decision-making. This Pinktober, Sonja Kenny joins Pulane Nel-Sekepe to share her experience with breast cancer and what Reach for Recovery has and continues to mean to her. She is a volunteer with Reach for Recovery and is involved in projects in the Kimberley branch.
