In this episode eNCA journalists Michelle Craig, with almost 13 years experience in the broadcast industry,Mmanaledi Mataboge-Mashetla, former Mail & Guardian's political editor and now eNCA's senior researcher, together with Helene Nieuwenhuis, a seasoned broadcast producer, currently eNCA's Special Project Producer joins Carmen Murray to discuss the stories of the apartheid struggle of the women and families of the Cradock 4, and the stories that happened behind the camera filming the documentary series: Women of the Liberation.

The role of female journalists in bringing female stories to life:

It requires a certain level of sensitivity, and 'soft skills' to gain people's trust and to allow them to open up to you. Also, they literally shot the series in people's homes, in their personal space and had to dig through their family archives.
